Bradley Findlay is a Biomedical Sciences student at Manchester University. In his recent project he deals with NF2-related Schwannomatosis and created a podcast for better understanding of NF2.
NF2-Related Schwannomatosis is a rare condition that affects 1 in every 33,000 live births worldwide, leading to the development of noncancerous tumours in the nervous system, mainly in the brain and spinal cord. Despite its profound impact on those with NF2 and their families, NF2 remains largely unknown to the general public. That’s where the ‘Understanding NF2’ podcast steps in.
Researchers Grace Gregory and Gareth Evans
In this video Bradley Findlay talks with Professor Gareth Evans – Medical Genetics Consultant and Professor of Medical Genetics – and Grace Gregory, who is NF2 BioSolutions funded PhD Student. This video explains the disease, its symptoms and possible treatments. Bradley also points out the importance of raising awareness and how you can give support for those affected by this rare genetic disease.
